Subscribing to a Plan

Starting a Subscription

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Review available plans
  3. Click Subscribe or Upgrade on your chosen plan
  4. Enter payment information
  5. Confirm your subscription

Payment Methods

We accept:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Debit cards
  • Some regions support additional methods via Stripe

Billing Cycle

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly
  • Billing occurs on the same date each month
  • Payments are processed via Stripe (secure payment processor)

Trial Period

How Trials Work

New accounts may receive a trial period:

  • Full access to premium features
  • No credit card required during trial
  • Trial duration shown in your account
  • Convert to paid plan before trial ends

Trial Expiration

When your trial expires:

  • Premium features become restricted
  • Templates beyond limit become read-only
  • You can still access your data
  • Subscribe to restore full access

Checking Trial Status

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. View your trial end date
  3. Days remaining shown in dashboard

Managing Your Subscription

Viewing Subscription Status

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. View your current plan details:
    • Plan name
    • Monthly price
    • Next billing date
    • Subscription status

Upgrading Your Plan

How to Upgrade

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan or Upgrade
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Confirm the change

What Happens When You Upgrade

  • Immediate access to new plan features
  • Prorated billing: Pay only the difference for the current period
  • New limits apply immediately
  • Billing date remains the same

Upgrade Example

If you upgrade from Solo ($5) to Starter ($19) mid-cycle:

  • You get immediate access to Starter features
  • You're charged the prorated difference
  • Next month bills at Starter rate

Downgrading Your Plan

How to Downgrade

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Change Plan
  3. Select a lower-tier plan
  4. Confirm the change

What Happens When You Downgrade

  • Features reduced at next billing cycle
  • Templates over limit become read-only
  • Fonts over limit remain but can't add more
  • No refund for unused time on current plan

Before Downgrading

Check if you'll exceed limits:

  • Count your templates (vs. new limit)
  • Count your custom fonts (vs. new limit)
  • Consider team member access changes

Managing Content Over Limits

If you have more templates than your new plan allows:

  • Existing templates are not deleted
  • You can view and generate from all templates
  • You cannot create new templates until under limit
  • Delete or archive templates to make room

Canceling Your Subscription

How to Cancel

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Cancel Subscription
  3. Select cancellation reason (optional)
  4. Confirm cancellation

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Access continues until period end
  • No further charges after cancellation
  • Data preserved (not deleted)
  • Can resubscribe anytime

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Choose a plan
  3. Enter payment information
  4. Full access restored immediately

Payment Management

Viewing Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription or Billing
  2. View your current payment method
  3. See last 4 digits of card on file

Updating Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click Update Payment Method
  3. Enter new card information
  4. Save changes

Payment Failures

If a payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. Subscription enters "Past Due" status
  3. Grace period allows you to update payment
  4. Update payment method to restore access

Retrying Failed Payments

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Update payment method if needed
  3. Payment will retry automatically
  4. Or click Retry Payment

Invoices and Receipts

Viewing Invoices

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. View invoice history
  3. Click on an invoice to view details

Downloading Invoices

  1. Find the invoice in your billing history
  2. Click Download or PDF
  3. Use for expense reports or accounting

Invoice Information

Each invoice includes:

  • Invoice number
  • Billing date
  • Amount charged
  • Payment method used
  • Service period

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Your data is preserved. Templates, fonts, and settings remain intact. You can resubscribe anytime to regain full access.

Do you offer annual billing?

Contact our sales team for annual billing options with potential discounts.

Can I get a refund?

We don't offer refunds for partial months. If you're unhappy with the service, contact support to discuss options.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store your full card details.

What if I need more than Enterprise offers?

Contact our sales team for custom enterprise agreements with additional features and support.

Can I pause my subscription?

We don't currently offer pause functionality. You can cancel and resubscribe when ready.

How do I get a W-9 or tax documentation?

Contact support for tax documentation requests.
